Here is a quick run-down of the people involved in the Coast Rider Charity Challenge:
Mike Woolley is the Coast Rider. Mike is a 50-something Arborist (tree-surgeon) with a long history of doing adventurous things on motorcycles. He is the one who will be doing the actual bike-riding, photo-taking, blog-writing, and (hopefully) film-making stuff and the driving (or riding) force behind the idea.
Alice Woolley is Mike's daughter and will be handling the stay-at-home fund-raising aspects of the challenge, including liaising with local and national media. Alice is a 20-something Learning Support Assistant and Art Student and will also be in charge of the social networking side of things.
Matt Jaquiery is a 20-something web programmer and Literature Student. He will be serving as Mike's editor and making sure that the thoughts make a smooth transition from Mike's mind to the blog.
Sara Woolley, Mike's wife, already deserves a medal for enduring 25 years of his madcap schemes. She has done a huge amount of running about behind the scenes, plugging gaps and dealing with stuff that everybody else has omitted to do. She will doubtless be looking forward to a month of relative peace and quiet...
